The San Diego Public Library is hosting their 44th Annual Local Authors Exhibit at the downtown location through February. They held a very nice reception for us last night. I met a man who said he was JD Salinger’s 2nd cousin. I asked if he thought any new publications would be forthcoming from Salinger’s estate. He thought not, but said he believed the man kept extensive journals. A woman held what I thought was a chihuahua bundled up against her, which turned out to be a very new newborn child! I saw friends from Writer’s Ink, sampled the appetizers and hoped for a Wambaugh sighting which never came. A really nice event.
